For 4G & 5G home routers
Find the best position for your 4G/5G router.
Your SIM router can have excellent signal in one part of your home and struggle just metres away. SignalPilot measures its live cellular signal and guides you to the strongest location.
Move your router.
Start Find Best Position and try different rooms, windows and orientations while SignalPilot monitors the cellular connection.
Follow the signal.
See the trend on screen, or use sound and haptics while you move — so you can judge improvement without staring at the phone.
Keep the strongest position.
Finish knowing which location gave your router the best cellular signal.

How it works
Three steps to the strongest spot
SignalPilot is built for 4G/5G SIM-card home routers — where cellular reception can change dramatically just metres apart.
- 01
Connect to your SIM router
SignalPilot reads the cellular signal information exposed by supported 4G/5G routers — so guidance is based on the router’s live connection, not a phone Wi‑Fi scan.
- 02
Move it around your home
Start Find Best Position and try different rooms, windows and orientations while SignalPilot monitors the live cellular signal.
- 03
Keep the best position
When a location beats your previous result, SignalPilot surfaces a New best signal cue so the strongest spot is obvious.
Live history
22 dB SINR
Live history
See the signal change as you move.
Instead of checking a number, remembering it, moving the router and checking again, SignalPilot keeps the comparison visible while you test different locations.
- Action-blue history plot for the live SINR walk
- Best marker stays visible while you explore nearby positions
- Quality labels use the same Fair / Good / Excellent scale as the app
Features
Built for placing a cellular router
Capabilities that exist in the SignalPilot app — focused on 4G/5G SIM-router placement, not generic Wi‑Fi tooling.
Find Best Position
Compare cellular reception while moving your 4G/5G SIM router around the home.
Live signal history
See how SINR changes during the test instead of relying on a single snapshot.
New best signal
Know immediately when the current location beats your previous best reading.
Audio guidance
Optional sound tracks signal changes so you can judge improvement without watching the screen.
Haptic feedback
Feel a cue when a new best signal arrives — useful when your eyes are on the room, not the phone.
Clear result
Finish knowing which tested position performed best, with start and best readings.
Why position matters
A few metres can change your cellular signal.
A SIM router gets internet through the mobile network. Walls, floors, windows and orientation change what the router receives — SignalPilot helps you compare positions while you move.

FAQ
Common questions
What does SignalPilot do?
SignalPilot helps you find where your 4G/5G SIM-card home router receives the strongest cellular signal. You move the router around your home while SignalPilot monitors live cellular measurements and guides you to the best location.
Why does the position of a 4G/5G router matter?
A SIM router connects through the mobile network. Reception can vary substantially between rooms, floors, windows and orientations — so physical placement often matters more than guessing from a single spot.
What is Find Best Position?
Find Best Position is SignalPilot’s guided placement session. You start measuring, move the router while live SINR history updates, and watch for quality changes. When a reading beats your previous best, a New best signal cue appears. Finish to see start, best, and improvement.
What does “New best signal” mean?
It means the current measurement is stronger than the best reading recorded earlier in the same session. That’s your cue to notice — and potentially keep — that position.
Why does SignalPilot use sound and haptics?
So you can judge improvement without constantly watching the screen. Sound pitch tracks SINR changes; a haptic marks when a new best signal arrives.
Which routers are supported?
SignalPilot fully verifies Huawei B310s-22 on selected firmware, with live diagnostics, Position Testing, Network mode, and LTE band selection. Exact model and firmware verification applies — check the label on the router, not only the Wi-Fi name. Orange Flybox branding was observed on that API identity; it is not a second fully verified model. B310-22s is a different model string and is listed as HiLink family — not fully verified. ZTE MF296D on selected TIM firmware is verified partial support (live diagnostics, Position Testing, and Network mode); LTE band selection and cell lock are unavailable; a router admin password is required; other MF296D firmware may be Limited. Other listed HiLink models are family-compatible, not fully verified; compatibility depends on the exact model, firmware and exposed router API, and family membership does not authorize writes. Other 4G/5G routers may be added after validation. Fixed-line-only gateways without cellular telemetry are outside SignalPilot’s primary use case — SignalPilot is not a generic Wi‑Fi analyser.
Is SignalPilot available for iPhone and Android?
